MUSIGA Prez Obour loses mum


President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, popularly known as Obour, has lost his mother.
The hiplife artiste’s mother, Christiana Addo also known as Aunt Christie died on Sunday, July 24 after battling liver disease for some time.
Obour, who is yet to come to terms with the fact that his mother is no more, confirmed the news to Myjoyonline.com Tuesday morning.
He did not give further details but THE PARROTS gathers that he is preparing to hold the one-week celebration of his mother, who was a pillar in his life and music career,  on Sunday, July 31.
Obour said in a brief statement that, “we did our best but I believe God had his own plans for my mum.”
“She was a strong believer hence I am in no doubt of her final resting place,” he added.

Resurfacing Of Oda-Akyem Chia Road Progresses

Resurfacing of the 51.4 Kilometre road from Oda to Akyem Chia, which forms part of the Oda-Nkwakaw main road, is progressing steadily.  The project, which is being financed with part of the cocoa syndicate loan, is being undertaken by two Accra-based contractors: Hardwork Company Limited and Archwork Company Limited. Hardwork Company, which is working on the 34.6 kilometre portion of the road from Ofoase to Chia, is applying the second coating of bitumen; while Archwork Company, which is undertaking the Ofoase-Oda portion of the road, has completed about 50 per cent of the project. The District Chief Executive (MCE) for Akyemansa, Mr Tom Budu, who led newsmen to inspect the project last Wednesday, said the two contractors were expected to complete the project by the end of November, 2016.
