GURU - Mahama must lose 2016 elections if…

Popular hiplife artiste, Adjei Yeboah Maradona, known in showbiz as Guru, is predicting President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the up-coming elections unless they 'sort out' challenges in the country. The rapper drums his message home in his latest single, “My Take’’ which highlights hardship Ghanaians are enduring under the present government. He insists that, the truth must be told to the President, irrespective of how his supporters feel about it. The song released about a week ago has typical ‘political’ composition by musicians and stirred controversy, as some individuals tagging the rapper as a sympathizer of the opposition party. Alhaji Adam Iddrisu is dead

One of Ghana's foremost entrepreneurs,  Alhaji Adam Iddrisu, the owner and Chairman of Global Haulage Group Limited (GHGL) has died at age 72. Family sources tell Myjoyonline.com Alhaji Iddrisu  passed  Wednesday dawn. His final funeral rites will be performed after the Asr (late afternoon) prayers at the  at the Global Haulage compound at Achimota in Accra. Global Haulage Group Limited  consists of  Global Haulage Company, Imperial General Insurance,  Isudam  Construction, Cocoa Merchant, Royal  Bank, Federated Commodities, Trans Royal Ltd, Royal Commodities and Global Automobile Limited. Alhaji Iddrisu also made an investment in agriculture with GG Farms as well as real estate with Global Haulage Real Estate.  Ahaji Iddrisu started Global Haulage Company in 1953 around Timber Market in Accra's business district.  In December last year, the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in awarded him with an Honorary Doctorate.  He left behind  23

A presenter and two panellists of an Accra-based radio station, Montie FM, who were convicted of contempt by the Supreme Court last week have been sentenced to four months in prison. The owners of the station which includes Edward Addo, Harry Zakuor, Ato Ahwoi and Kwesi Kyei Atuah have been fined 30,000 by close of day tommorrow. The panellists, Alistair Nelson, Godwin Ako Gunn and a host of the show, Salifu Maase and owners of the radio station were found guilty of contempt charges following threats by the panelists to kill the Judges. Presiding judge Sophia Akuffo said the directors were irresponsible and careless because they are to direct the broad vossion of the station. The panelists, on a discussion programme on the station, threatened to kill judges, with specific reference to Justice Sulemana Gbadegbe and Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood.
