Two Women Arrested At Ankaful Prisons For Smuggling ‘Wee

 
img-20160923-wa0020Officers at the Ankaful Maximum Prisons have arrested two women who attempted to smuggle some banned substances to some inmates in the prisons.
The women, Grace Kusi, 60, and Mary Nyanka, 22, concealed the substances suspected to be Indian hemp popularly known as wee and others such as mobile phones and chargers in 47 parcels of a local soap called ‘Azuma Blows’ or ‘Don’t Touch me’.
The commodities, the women explain were meant for two inmates namely Ali Omar Fulani and Razak Abubakar who are serving 15 and 63 years respectively.
The women also revealed to the Police that the two inmates are their relatives.
ASP Daniel Matchator, the Public Relations Officers for the Central Regional Prisons Service Division said the suspects have been handed over to the Elmina Police command for further investigation.
