Mahama Spotted In Military Uniform

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and President of Ghana, John Mahama, has for the first time since he assumed the Presidency, been seen in a military outfit.

The president donned the military camouflage during the ongoing commissioning of the Navy headquarters in Accra Thursday.

This is the first time, since the days of former president Jerry Rawlings, that a democratically elected President of the country is seen publicly wearing the uniform of the armed forces.

The constitution of Ghana, by default, makes the President of the republic the Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces.
